Scandinavian-American songwriters and producers BabaStiltz and Okay Kaya are pleased to share details ofa new collaborative EP “Blurb”. It is released 24 January throughRecorded Matters via The Orchard.

This collaboration was initially conceived when Kaya stoppedby Baba’s Stockholm studio back in 2022 to propose a potential remix. The pairfound that they had plenty in common; from musical tastes to their sharedScandinavian-American upbringing ,and they were soon presenting each other withnew track ideas, whilst re-working their existing songs as collaborativepieces.

Produced in Stockholm alongside Daniel Fagerström (ViagraBoys), the recording sessions between Baba and Kaya favoured a documentarianapproach over heavy-handed production techniques, with both artists performingin the room together and using over-dubbing sparingly.
